Summer Camp is Winding DownSunday, August 1, 2010 The summer camp season is winding down. Right now, we are in our last week of hosting young campers. Currently there are seventy-five 5th and 6th graders on site. This is really a great age to work with because they are so open to learning about Jesus and what it means to give their life over to Him. |
Summer Camp Half Way Over AlreadyWednesday, July 14, 2010 It is hard to believe that we are halfway through this summer camp season. We have already witnessed many blessings: excellent worship music, challenging messages, great Missions offerings, and several life-changing decisions made for the Lord. Baptisms in our pool are the greatest blessing of all. Nothing can compare to the blessings of summer camp at LaMoine. |
Summer Camp 2010 is Off and Running!Tuesday, June 22, 2010 Summer Camp 2010 is off and running and it is a WET one! The rains have come and gone and come again many times early in our season. The campers don't mind though as long as they can get wet in our huge swimming pool. God has kept everyone safe here at LaMoine through the storms of June and provided several spiritual highs already. |
The Excitement Builds as Summer Camp is Just Around the CornerTuesday, March 2, 2010 During the months of spring is when it is most evident how much we count on our camp partners. In just a few days, we will have our Summer Camp Kick-Off Meeting at the camp. This is when our Member Churches will receive everything they need to promote summer camp in their churches and learn where we are counting on them to help us prepare for campers. Yes, summer camp is closer than we think. |

The Fall Season is Filled with God's Beauty at the CampTuesday, November 3, 2009
Wow, can you believe it’s already November? This year has really flown by. The majority of the leaves have already fallen around the camp and winter is just around the corner. I do love this time of year though; the cooler weather, seeing the deer on the property, hosting many retreats of various types, and of course Thanksgiving and Christmas. |

LaMoine Camp Pond Yields Another Monster BassTuesday, April 28, 2009 Once again the LaMoine Camp pond has produced another huge large-mouth bass. Early last May, Camp Director, Doug Hamer, caught what was thought to be the camp pond monster bass. It measured 19" long and weighed in at an undisclosed lot of weight (estimates have it at about 4 1/2 lbs.). The fish caught on April 26, 2009 obliterated the record, measuring 21" long and weighing in at 5 1/2 lbs. |
The Harvest is Now!Wednesday, January 7, 2009
I believe that giving to God’s work with youth is the best place to invest of your time and money because nearly 80% of all who accept Christ do so before the age of 12 and 85% by the age of 18.
I know it is only January, but I am already starting to get excited about what is planned for 2009. This year our theme and emphasis will all be related to the words of Jesus from the gospel of John. |

This is the sixth year in a row that we have had at least 1,000 campers at LaMoine. There were 68 campers that came forward and made life changing decisions for Christ at camp this summer. The campers also gave more than $9,300.00 to missionary organizations. |
![]() Behind the Scenes at LCSCMonday, July 21, 2008 Being that this is my first article for the camp website, I would like to start off by saying camp is great, "Bossman” (reference to Camp Director, Doug Hamer) is awesome, and so is Jesus. Now let me take some time to talk about what is done behind the scenes at camp. |
